I don't know what to title this post.

Well, this post is a few different things, so I don't know what to title it. Oh well. That doesn't really matter that much! 


So, yesterday. First we went to church, and heard a really good sermon on songs and singing. Shockingly, (well, not so much for me, but maybe for you) the sermon was not on Easter or that sort of thing. We are doing a series on Isaiah, and we are about chapter 43 and our pastor just kept going with the series which in a way was good because we did go the the Easter service on Friday. The sermon from yesterday was about singing to the Lord a new song, and that if the song lyrics do not proclaim His Word, then it's not glorifying to Him. That was really convicting because as the age that I am, I really try and read the words of songs thoroughly and make sure that it is truth and what is glorifying to Him. It really hit me that some of the songs on the radio and even on Praise 106.5 aren't always the truth. Just because they are on the Christian music station doesn't mean that they are always glorifying. I think that often I personally become negligent to check what the song is saying because it has a catchy tune or whatever and I just sing along. My mom also said that those songs might not be bad in and of themselves but they aren't always appropriate for the Sabbath day of worship, especially in the service. I totally agree. 


On another note, I think that I have way too much candy for one person to get in three days! I have approximately three zip-lock bags of it! So much sugar! =P I am so thankful for this long weekend! I was so so busy basically from Wednesday night until now, even though it was technically a holiday. But it was fun. I am really hoping that tonight we might go see either Rio or African Cats. I love going to see movies! Rio looks really funny, but I love lions so I don't know which one I'd rather see!  Hm...I have this odd feeling that I wanted to post something else...I guess I'll just post another entry if I remember!
