The day before yesterday (Thursday) I got together with two of my best friends who I met 3 or 4 years ago. :) I'm so blessed to have these girls in my life! It's so funny...you know how you have some friends where you have to make small talk for a considerable amount of time before you get comfortable with each other again after being apart for a while, and can talk more deeply? These girls aren't like that. When we see each other, whether it's been 3 days or 3 months, we just plunge into deep conversation, picking up where we left off as if we'd never left. We don't waste time talking about the weather and I'm thankful for that. I'm not saying that won't come up, but small talk is unnecessary with us and I'm grateful because I hate small talk. Being a introvert, (and I am, even though I'm not that shy) I hate awkward conversations with people I don't really know that well, I'd rather talk sincerely with somebody. I guess that's maybe why after I've been cooped up inside for a while, my brain tells me I want to go socialize, and I do, for about an hour. And then I get sick of meaningless banter and want to go home.
I guess that's one of the main things I've learnt about myself this year.
Anyways, being with my friends Veronica and
Danica (<--- go check out her blog! :) for the day on Thursday was a blast. :) I love you girls like sisters, and I don't know how different my life would be without you. I love your smiles, laughter, and you have the best hugs. :)
This picture pretty much represents our whole day together, candy, 1D, and lying on Danica's bed talking like there's no tomorrow. :) Oh, and we may have brought my camera out for a while. Actually, we used iPods for most of the time. ;P
