Post 100!

Hello there!

Nice to see you again! I am back in the blogging world! I know I've been gone for a while, and it is merely because I was a little bit busy and because I was saving this special post for something of great importance. This is sort of an important post, but I guess that I truthfully just wanted to quit waiting and finally write something new. I have a few things that I would like to say! So be prepared for a long post.

First thing. I said in my last post that I was remodeling my blog, well, let's just saying that didn't turn out so well. I tried to make a new header, and all of them looked really ridiculous because I couldn't make it the right size. I even went to all the trouble of going to take special pictures to put on there...and it never worked. I probably spent at least 6 hours on my header that no longer exists. And about the new background, I just kept coming back to this one for now so I'll just keep it like this.

Second thing! I'm so excited that I probably will be buying the Canon T3i this week! Mom, Dad, and I went to Best Buy today to look at phone cases for my Dad, and then we went to look at the DSLR's that I have been eyeing for almost a year. We talked to a really helpful employee, and I found out some excellent info. I will try to explain it the best I know how.

There are two models of EOS Rebels that I have been looking at, the T2i, and the T3i. I was originally going to get the T2i, because of the fact that it is a step down from the T3i, and much cheaper, or so I thought. I looked today, and realized that the two are only fifty dollars difference, which doesn't actually seem like much. The T2i is $799.99 and the T3i is $849.99. Then I was exploring the different elements, and also came to realize that the T3i has a flip out screen! It flips out so it would be great for taking self portraits, as well as it would be good for showing other people pictures, video etc. You know how when you want to show someone something, and then they have to lean all the way over your shoulder...well I could just flip it out and make it easier to see. Also, if flips inward so the screen is not exposed, which would protect the screen when not in use. If it makes more sense, go to this link and on the right, click where it says Product Tour, then you can see exactly how it flips. That made the fifty dollars difference worth it for me. And if that wasn't good enough, there is a sale on this week that works out to me getting $50 off the camera. So basically, I get the T3i for the price of the T2i. Then, to top it all off, there is a bundle that includes a camera bag and extra battery, for the same price as only the body of the T3i. If it makes sense, I would get a T3i, plus a free bag and extra battery. I hope that made sense, and if not, the just forget the last paragraph that you read.

Third thing! I finally am going to start horseback riding! I've been waiting for 4 years at least and I can finally do it! Valley Therapeutic Equestrian Association (VTEA) is where I'm going. And the reason I have to go there is because I have to be more cautious than any other kid would be. Because I have Scoliosis, I can't just ride as if nothing was wrong, and this stable is careful and specializes in a wide range of disabilities. Not that I'm really disabled. I am going for an assessment on Tuesday, which means they will decide which instructor, horse, tack etc., I will be using. I cannot wait!

Today when we were out, we stopped at Country Feeds on Fraser Hwy so I could try on helmets. All of them were either the wrong shape, too expensive, or made me look like a "Melon Head" according to my lovely parents. *Said with sarcasm* Just kidding!

Hm.......what else. Oh!

When my Mom and I were at VTEA to drop off my forms, we stopped to say hello to the horses! They all came right up to the fence to say hello back. One certain horse was "saying cheese" or about to bite, but I didn't know that he was a biter until I saw the notice at the middle of the fence. At the last section there was a big black/bay horse with a long, slightly frizzy mane, and my mom said, "Hey! That one looks like me!" A few seconds later, he promptly nickered! I was so happy, until I realized that he was most likely not nickering at me, but at the three ladies coming with wheelbarrows full of their lunch! =P

Oh and also! My li'l sis Karys is getting glasses! She six, and she's going to look so cute! (Not that she doesn't right now... ;) She's probably getting black and pink ones, and when she gets them I promise to post a picture!

Well, that was a long post....

I hope that I will blog again on Tuesday after riding! =)
