If you are Canadian, live in the Greater Vancouver area, or are even remotely interested in hockey, you will probably know that the Canucks were going head to head against the Boston Bruins in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. After much fighting, we failed to keep our confidence and skill. The Bruins overtook us, but my opinion is that the Canucks won two games, then the Referees won 2 games for the Bruins, then we won one game, then the refs won another game for the Bruins, then the Bruins one a game for themselves. All in all, the refs won 3 out of the 4 games that they Bruins played against us. It's sad, dissapointing, and I do feel like crying, but something struck me moments ago. People have been tossing the word "luck" around, and I usually try to refrain from using that word at all costs.

Nothing is left to luck. The Lord is in control of all things that happen, good and bad. It may seem like "the Canucks just didn't play well enough", or "the Bruins just got lucky", but God knows this and planned it. Also, one of my dad's friends said (slightly jokingly) something like, "God just tears down our idols like that! He just doesn't want us to get obsessed with it and think that it was us. So he tears down our idols!" which I think is a good point. He is in complete control and never leaves anything to luck.
Well, it's really hitting me now, it's all over. No more weekly get togethers with friends for the game. No more anxiousness about who will win or lose, but it feels like it would be easier if we had won. I feel like we deserve it. Oh well.....
