Tae Kwon Do Days!

On January 17th I started Tae Kwon Do! It's a lot of fun and this past Thursday I got my suit. It felt really huge but it turned out not to bad. I still have to sew the patches on, but it has to be washed first. :( Mom said I'm going to sew them on myself! I hope I don't mess it up. ;) Isaiah, Naomi and Karys are more advanced than me although eventually I will probably catch up because Karys has to two belts for every one that I have. There are two different age groups; Karate Kids and Tiny Tigers. Karys is in Tiny Tigers and Tiny Tigers have to have two belts for every one that Karate Kids have. So I'll be able to advance faster than she will. =) The Tiny Tiger oath is "I promise to be a good person, to have knowledge in my mind, honesty in my heart, strength in my body, strength in my body, strength in my body, to make good friends and to get my black belt sir!" and I can't wait until I actually have a black belt! ;) Our class is a mix of Tiny Tigers and Karate Kids so sometimes we say the Tiny Tiger oath and sometimes we say the Karate Kid oath. It's so empowering to know you can defend yourself!
